MacDonald Search Group seeks a hands‑on Human Resources Manager in Burnaby to lead HR initiatives in a growing manufacturing firm. Engage with employees, manage compliance, and enhance workplace culture.
In this standalone role, you will guide the HR function with an emphasis on employee engagement, safety, and compliance. You are the ideal candidate if you have 8+ years in HR, preferably in manufacturing, and possess a degree in Human Resources or CPHR designation. Work closely with the CEO to ensure the organization scales efficiently while maintaining its culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive employee engagement and retention through proactive communication
• Oversee Occupational Health & Safety compliance and culture
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations
• Provide expertise on BC Labour Standards and regulations
• Collaborate with the CEO on strategic workforce planning
Requirements
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing
• Degree/diploma in Human Resources; CPHR preferred
• Solid understanding of BC Labour Standards
• Exceptional communication with all staff levels
• Ability to operate independently in HR functions
