THE ROLE:Our Edmonton area client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their finance team on a contract basis. As a trusted member of the finance team, you will be responsible for financial reporting, cash flow management, project analysis, and process improvements. This role is well-suited for an analytical professional who enjoys collaborating with operational teams and using financial data to drive business results.Key responsibilities include:Preparing monthly and annual financial statements, along with supporting working papers and schedulesDeveloping and maintaining cash flow forecasts and providing analysis to support operational and strategic planningPerforming project and profitability analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvementCompleting account reconciliations and preparing journal entriesSupporting month-end and year-end close processesPartnering with operational stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendationsIdentifying opportunities to enhance financial controls, reporting processes, and overall efficiencyABOUT YOU:You are a proactive and analytical accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
