Our client, a major force within the FMCG sector, is seeking an experienced and visionary Supply Chain Director to lead their logistics and distribution operations. This is a critical fully remote leadership role, open to candidates located anywhere within the US . You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies to optimize the entire supply chain, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products to market. This position requires extensive experience in supply chain management, particularly in network design, transportation, warehousing, and inventory optimization. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy focused on logistics optimization, cost reduction, and service level improvements. Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and demand planning. Lead and mentor a geographically dispersed supply chain team, fostering a high-performance culture. Identify and implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency and resilience. Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and negotiate contracts. Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring financial targets are met. Implement advanced analytics and technology solutions to improve visibility and decision-making within the supply chain. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance) to align supply chain activities with business objectives. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. Requirements Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with a significant focus on logistics and operations within the FMCG industry. Proven track record of successfully leading and optimizing complex supply chains. Extensive knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP systems. Strong understanding of network design, inventory planning, and demand forecasting principles. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing remote teams. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Must be legally authorized to work in the US and comfortable working in a fully remote capacity. Benefits
