About this role

eTracks Tire Management Systems is currently recruiting for the position of a Communications & Marketing Lead (1 year maternity leave contract). Mandate of the Role Reporting to the Vice President, Communications & Sustainability, you will play a key role in strengthening eTracks’ brand, elevating stakeholder communications, and supporting initiatives that increase awareness, participation, and education across Ontario’s tire recycling system. This role helps deliver creative, clear, and strategic communications that support eTracks’ corporate objectives, marketing communications plan, customer value, and position as Ontario’s only not-for-profit Tire Producer Responsibility Organization. This is an opportunity for an experienced communications and marketing professional who possess strong writing and editing skills with sound judgement, creative thinking, stakeholder awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a complex and evolving environment. How the Mandate will be Fulfilled You will develop, implement, and measure communications and marketing strategies, campaigns, and tactics that support corporate priorities and strengthen eTracks’ brand and create and edit compelling content for a range of channels, including newsletters, presentations, reports, press releases, targeted emails, articles, videos, infographics, social media, website content, events, and sponsorship materials. You will translate complex or technical information into clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate communications for internal and external stakeholders and support brand consistency across print, digital, social, presentation, event, and promotional materials. You will develop creative briefs and work with internal teams, partners, agencies, and vendors to deliver design and communications projects from concept through execution and you will support stakeholder communications with eTracks’ staff and leadership, tire producers, collection sites, transportation companies, processors, partners, and other industry participants. You will plan and support events, sponsorships, presentations, partnerships, and brand representation opportunities, including occasional events outside regular working hours. You will track communications and marketing performance using relevant KPIs, analytics, and measurement tools, and share insights and outcomes with leadership as well as support issues management and crisis-related communications with strategic, practical, and solutions-oriented thinking. You will stay informed about communications best practices, AI applications, recycling, sustainability, circular economy topics, and the regulatory environment affecting eTracks and its stakeholders. Core Qualifications, Education, and Experience: • Post-secondary degree or diploma in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience. • Seven to ten or more years of progressive experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related discipline. • Exceptional English writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Experience developing and executing communications and marketing plans, graphic design, campaigns, content, and materials across multiple channels. • Demonstrated ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, partners, agencies, and vendors. • Experience using measurement tools and KPIs to assess communications and marketing performance. • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, contributors, and deliverables. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Experience with tools such as Monday.com, Mailchimp, WordPress, Google Analytics, Adobe Express, Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar platforms. • Ability to produce or guide creative materials such as reports, advertisements, presentations, handouts, manuals, promotional items, and digital graphics. • Experience managing content for social media platforms, including LinkedIn, X, and Facebook. • Working knowledge of AI applications and evolving communications tools. • French language skills (an asset but not required). • Experience or interest in recycling, sustainability, regulatory affairs, or government relations (an asset). • Experience supporting issues management, media relations, or crisis communications (an asset). • Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
