Mechanical CAD Designer

Job Summary: We are seeking a CAD Designer & Drafter to support mechanical design and drafting activities by creating 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD software, GD&T, BOM creation, and engineering change documentation in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: • Develop 3D part and assembly models using CAD software. • Create and update 2D manufacturing and assembly drawings. • Apply GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards. • Support design revisions, ECNs/ECOs, and drawing updates. • Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs). • Perform reverse engineering from existing parts or legacy drawings. • Manage CAD files and documentation following PDM/PLM procedures. • Generate STEP, IGES, PDF, and native CAD files as required. Required Qualifications: • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field. • 2+ years of experience in CAD design and drafting. • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, CATIA, or similar). • Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards. • Experience creating manufacturing drawings and BOMs. • Familiarity with ECN/ECO processes and PDM/PLM systems. • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
