About this role

• Serve as the primary Human Resources partner for the Canadian business, overseeing the full employee lifecycle and ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR support. • Partner with executive leadership across North America to develop and execute strategic HR initiatives that align with business objectives and long-term organizational growth. • Lead organizational development initiatives, including workforce planning, succession planning, leadership development, talent reviews, and change management programs. • Coach and advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, organizational design, talent development, and complex people matters. • Conduct workplace investigations and support the resolution of employee relations matters while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies. • Lead annual compensation planning initiatives, including salary reviews, bonus planning, and organizational workforce planning. • Oversee Canadian employee benefits administration while supporting annual benefit plan renewals with external providers. • Manage employee lifecycle activities within ADP and Workday, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity. • Develop and maintain employment documentation, including offer letters, promotions, employment agreements, policy updates, job descriptions, and separation documentation. • Monitor employee contracts, work permits, leaves of absence, and employment compliance requirements. • Analyze workforce metrics, employee engagement, turnover trends, and organizational data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. • Review and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with Canadian employment legislation and evolving business needs. • Partner with the Regional HR team to support strategic HR initiatives across the United States while collaborating with local HR resources on implementation. • Support international assignments, employee relocations, and cross-border HR initiatives in accordance with company policies. • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders by challenging existing practices, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving organizational effectiveness. • Support payroll continuity, HR vendor management, departmental administration, and additional HR projects as required. • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and the overall employee experience.
