We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Accountant, Finance to join our Corporate Services team. About the Role
As an Accountant, Finance, you will play an integral role in supporting CPSA's financial operations and reporting processes. Working closely with departments across the organization, you will prepare and analyze financial information, support budgeting and forecasting activities, assist with audits and regulatory compliance, and provide guidance on accounting matters. You will contribute to maintaining strong financial controls, improving processes, and supporting investment accounting activities while helping ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree with a specialization in accounting and has earned a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. You bring a minimum of two years of post-designation accounting experience and a solid understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and audit support. You are comfortable interpreting financial data, identifying trends and risks, and communicating insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Success in this role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and enjoy collaborating with colleagues across departments to provide financial expertise and support. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office 365 is essential, while experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Solver Cloud, Power BI, or CoreIntegrator would be considered an asset.
