About Our Client
Our client is sourcing a Senior Accountant for a 6-month contract. This role is focused on owning the integrity and consistency of the close and reporting cycle. The Senior Accountant will operate as a hands-on contributor responsible for translating transactional data into reliable financial insights.
About the Opportunity
• Execute month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and adjustments
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances across key balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Deliver budget-to-actual analysis and support forecasting cycles
• Monitor working capital metrics, including cash, receivables, and payables trends
• Produce management reporting packages with clear variance commentary and actionable insights
• Maintain audit-ready documentation, including structured workpapers and standardized close checklists
• Support process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and close efficiency
About You
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with direct ownership of month-end close
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting and financial statement flow (not just mechanical posting)
• Proven ability to analyze variances and explain underlying business drivers
• Experience with NetSuite
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data structuring)
• High attention to detail with a disciplined, documentation-first approach
• Able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
