About the position
Coeur Mining Inc. is searching for a highly motivated and committed individual to direct and oversee Project Support functions to our Silvertip Project and various support functions to other parts of the Coeur business, as a shared resource. Reporting to the Silvertip Vice President – Projects, the Project Support role is responsible for Silvertip project area integration, stage-gate coordination and integration, coordination, tracking and action follow-up for project internal and independent technical and operational reviews, coordination of peer reviews and dissemination of findings to enhance the overall leadership, governance, and successful delivery of the Silvertip project from the current level of front-end-loading project development to an operating mine within a remote, Northern British Columbia Canda underground mining environment. This role supports the Silvertip Senior Project Director in monitoring the work planning and performance of key Owner’s team contractors providing Project Delivery Support Services, Construction Management Support Services and Pre-commissioning/Commissioning Services and monitoring in support of the Silvertip Vince President that the project is delivered to the approved project business case, executed safely, on time, within budget, and meeting project quality, while aligning with organizational strategy and capital objectives. The Project Support role for Silvertip will interface with the General Manager- Operational Readiness, General Manager – Site Operations and will engage with Coeur’s Executive and Senior Leadership Team related to matters of project delivery, governance, and performance and the Manager, Permitting related to matters of technical information delivery to support the Silvertip permitting process. The person filling this role will also be assigned to support the Coeur Senior Vice President, Technical Services in aspects of Strategic Planning and the Coeur Senior Vice President, Operations – Canada in aspects of technical and governance support for the New Afton and Rainy River operations.

Requirements
• B.S. Engineering or Geology
• Professional designation (e.g. P.Eng) and/or PMP certification
• Minimum of 15 progressive years of experience in major mining or heavy industrial projects, including significant technical leadership and coordination roles over large capital projects
• Broad and well-rounded knowledge of studies and delivery to start-up of underground mine development, mineral processing plants, and mining infrastructure.
• Proactive and hands-on support to project leadership and delivery team members
• Input to the supporting the development and delivering the approved project execution strategy, driving project safety and quality, and managing and controlling project baselines, major changes, expenditures, and overall project performance outcomes.
• Safety Management
• Stage-Gate processes, independent and peer review processes, and financial review of projects for effective information sharing and presentations to Senior Executives and Board Members
