Human Resources Administrator
Location: Burnaby, BC or Oakville, ON
Reporting to the National Director of Human Resources, the HR Administrator provides administrative and coordination support to the Human Resources and operational leaders across Canada. As a member of an established and growing HR team, this role supports core HR operations and helps to ensure consistent and professional employee experience within a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and health and wellness benefits
• Maintain accurate employee records, and personnel files within the HRIS platform
• Prepare and finalize offer letters and employment documentation for review
• Coordinate and manage all onboarding and offboarding tasks
• Support the performance review process and documentation
• Administer employee benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of HR systems and processes
• Provide administrative support across HR initiatives and projects as required
• Ensure compliance with applicable Canadian employment standards (provincial and federal) and internal policies
• Provide support and attend industry events and trade shows
Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 2+ years of HR or related administrative experience. Construction industry experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with HRIS platform
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
• Working knowledge of unionized and non-unionized environments
• Self-motivated and comfortable working within a diverse and dynamic team
