About this role

We're hiring an experienced UI/UX Designer to join our team and drive the evolution of our App and Website, jdbinvesting.com — the ultimate information hub for the U.S. stock market, tailored for Chinese-speaking audiences. As a UI/UX Designer, you will lead the creation of intuitive and impactful experiences across all our digital platforms. Your designs will enable users to seamlessly navigate and engage with our products, delivering a smooth journey from onboarding to monetization and at every stage of the user experience. What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like • Own the visual design direction — crafting high-fidelity UI screens, polished components, and pixel-perfect assets that define the look and feel of our App and Website • Iterate rapidly on UI designs across multiple product surfaces, balancing aesthetics with usability to create interfaces that are both beautiful and functional • Develop and maintain a cohesive design system, building a library of reusable components, pages, and patterns that ensure visual consistency and accelerate developer implementation • Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and guide front-end engineers through implementation • Conduct user research, including interviews and usability testing, to validate and inform UI decisions • Continuously gather feedback, measure design effectiveness, and refine UI/UX elements to improve the product and drive user retention • Collaborate closely with team members — from engineers to the CEO — in an on-site environment, contributing to product design discussions at every stage What We're Looking For • Native Mandarin speaker • 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design within the tech field • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams • Deep understanding of user experience principles and the ability to design user-centric interaction flows • A strong aesthetic sense, attention to detail, and the ability to tailor design styles to product needs • Awareness of design industry trends and a willingness to learn and apply new technologies and design concepts • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite, with a preference for Figma and strong prototyping skills Preferred Additional Skills & Experience • Strong documentation and offline communication skills • Experience leading or contributing to complete product design projects • Proven collaboration experience with cross-functional teams — including Product, Engineering, and Marketing — to develop a cohesive design strategy • Demonstrated ability to translate low-fidelity wireframes into production-ready, high-fidelity UI design deliverables, with a refined command of visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, and color systems • Familiarity with large-scale marketing campaigns • Experience in data-driven decision-making for feature testing • Background in fintech products or personal stock investing • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS to facilitate better collaboration with developers Benefits: • Extended health care Ability to commute/relocate: • Toronto, ON M2J 5C1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: • UIUX design: 3 years (required) Language: • Mandarin (required) Work Location: In person
