About this role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Analyst to support a manufacturing organization in British Columbia. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can connect operational processes with sound accounting practices and help shape business requirements for enterprise systems. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify needs, improve workflows, and ensure financial considerations are reflected throughout planning, configuration, testing, and adoption activities.Responsibilities:• Work with subject matter experts in manufacturing, sales, supply chain, and finance to capture and map end-to-end business processes with a strong focus on accounting controls and reporting needs.• Lead and contribute to discovery meetings and stakeholder discussions to gather, refine, and confirm functional and financial requirements for system design.• Evaluate existing workflows and define improved future-state processes within Sage 300 and AutoSimply for the business entity in scope.• Advise project teams on accounting impacts related to chart structure, inventory processes, bill of materials setup, module relationships, and transaction flow design.• Translate manufacturing and operational activities into clear accounting requirements covering inventory treatment, cost movement, revenue-related transactions, and financial reporting outcomes.• Review inventory accounting practices and recommend enhancements for item setup, movement tracking, valuation approaches, and reconciliation control points.• Support configuration, testing readiness, issue analysis, and go-live preparation by identifying finance-related risks and ensuring alignment with operational requirements.• Create process documentation, workflow diagrams, and user support materials to strengthen knowledge transfer, end-user training, and adoption.• Serve as the primary finance contact between internal stakeholders and the implementation team to ensure requirements are accurately documented and executed.• Help define governance measures, internal controls, and accounting checkpoints while supporting troubleshooting and post-implementation stabilization activities as needed.
