Purpose: High-quality investment data is fundamental to Scotia Global Asset Management's ability to make informed investment decisions, deliver exceptional client experiences, meet regulatory obligations, and support scalable growth. Investment Data Solutions (IDS) is responsible for the management and continuous enhancement of the Investment Data Hub (IDH), SGAM's strategic investment data platform built on S&P Global Market Intelligence's Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solution. IDS serves as the center of excellence for investment data governance, quality, mastering, and distribution across critical investment data domains, including securities, pricing, benchmarks, ratings, portfolios, issuers, legal entities, and counterparties. As a Senior Analyst, Investment Data Solutions, you will play a key role in maintaining trusted investment data, advancing data quality practices, and supporting strategic data initiatives across the organization. You will collaborate with business, operations, technology, and vendor partners to identify, resolve, and prevent data issues while contributing to the ongoing evolution of SGAM's enterprise investment data capabilities. In this role, you will: • Deliver and maintain accurate, complete, and timely investment data within the Investment Data Hub by proactively monitoring, investigating, and resolving data quality issues. • Perform data analysis, reconciliations, and exception management across key investment data domains. • Execute and enhance data quality controls to ensure investment data meets established business and governance standards. • Analyze root causes of recurring data issues and collaborate with stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions. • Provide first-line support for investment data and reporting inquiries, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution. • Monitor daily operational processes and data flows to identify and address production issues. • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand investment data requirements and translate them into effective solutions. • Support the delivery of new data sourcing, reporting, and data management capabilities across the organization. • Support testing activities, including user acceptance testing, release validation, and regression testing. • Create and maintain business rules, data definitions, process documentation, and operational procedures. • Contribute to the development and implementation of investment data governance frameworks, standards, policies, and procedures. Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We’d love to work with you if you have: • Bachelor Degree, with a technology or business focus, or equivalent education and experience • Experience working with investment data, financial markets, or data management functions within asset management, wealth management, or financial services • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SQL • Experience with core investment data domains, including securities, pricing, benchmarks, positions, corporate actions, or reference data • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact effectively across business and technology teams • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and operational excellence • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Experience with S&P Global Enterprise Data Management (EDM), Markit EDM, or comparable data management platforms is preferred • Working knowledge of Bloomberg, S&P, QuoteMedia, or other market data providers is preferred Interested?
