In this position, you will provide strategic oversight of Real Estate & Development Services (RE&DS) information assets. You will develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with legislative and corporate records requirements. You will coordinate the organization's access and privacy program by collaborating with partners to establish and enforce business unit standards and best practices. You will lead initiatives that enhance program maturity, providing support for issues management, risk mitigation, and privacy breach protocols. Primary duties include: • Gather requirements from partners, analyze business workflows to identify duplication and redundancy, and design and standardize new processes. • Develop and implement information governance strategies to ensure the security, compliance, and accessibility of information assets. • Provide advisory services and training to leadership and staff. • Prepare project plans and timelines. Delegate project tasks to team members. Monitor project milestones to ensure deadlines and regulatory standards are met. • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies. • Monitor retention triggers, apply classification schedules to manage the complete lifecycle of records, and initiate and oversee the legal disposition of records. • Administer information assets within systems. Design and enforce protocols for data integrity, discoverability, and access controls. • Coordinate the lifecycle of Access to Information Act (ATIA) and Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) requests. Compile and review records in response to requests. • Conduct legal reviews and flag sensitive information for potential redaction. Prepare and submit disclosure packages within legislated timelines. • Lead the completion of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Privacy Information Banks (PIBs), and Privacy Breach responses. Qualifications • A completed 2-year diploma in information science, records management, access & privacy, public policy, business administration, or legal studies plus at least 5 years of related work experience; OR • A degree plus at least 3 years of related work experience. • Experience using Content Server, Physical Objects, MS SharePoint or other electronic information management applications is required. • Preference will be given to those with a working knowledge of Access to Information Act (ATIA) and Protection of Privacy Act (POPA). • Project management or business analyst experience is an asset. • Success in this position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a team and with a variety of interested parties, and the ability to prioritize and plan work effectively in a dynamic environment. These arrangements depend on the operational requirements of the role, employee suitability, and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.
