About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Distribution Manager to lead their distribution network across the Atlantic provinces, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia . This is a key on-site role, responsible for the efficient and effective management of warehouse operations, inventory control, and transportation logistics within the region. You will play a critical role in ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers, optimizing operational costs, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management systems, and a proven track record in optimizing distribution operations. This position offers a significant opportunity to impact a company's supply chain performance. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of regional distribution center operations, including receiving, warehousing, inventory management, and shipping. Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels. Manage inventory accuracy and implement effective inventory control procedures. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the distribution facilities. Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff, supervisors, and logistics coordinators. Optimize transportation and routing to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Develop and manage operational budgets for the distribution network. Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies. Collaborate with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless supply chain integration. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in distribution management, warehouse operations, or logistics, with at least 3 years in a management role. Proven experience managing large-scale warehouse operations and distribution networks. In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and transportation logistics. Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices. Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability in financial management and budget control. Proficiency in data analysis and performance metric tracking. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and available for full-time, on-site work in Halifax.
