Role Description
• Position: Engineer in Training
• Location: hybrid (office / work-from-home / on-site)
• Type: part-time / full time.
Job Description:
• Assisting in product design - SolidWorks, 3D models and drawings.
• Site inspection and measurements; occasional travel.
• Reverse engineering.
• Writing of technical reports.
• Reviewing specifications, standards and regulations.
Required qualifications
• Member with APEGA in good standing.
• SolidWorks, (weldments, sheet metal, assemblies, advanced mates, drawings, welding symbols).
• Ability to analyze and recreate existing products.
• MS office and Windows power user.
• First principles reasoning.
• Good physical shape (climbing, lifting, endurance for long shifts)
• Capable of hands-on work (hand and power tools).
• Driving license.
Nice-to have:
• Previous experience with cranes, rigging, lifting devices or material handling.
• Basic CNC knowledge, or previous experience in additive manufacturing, laser cutting, etc.
• Basic electrical or instrumentation knowledge.
• Linux, Rabsberry Pi, Arduino, Python, Industrial Internet.
• Welding, machining, mechanical assembly or heavy duty experience.
