About the Role Our client, a leading company in the **Logistics & Warehousing** industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fleet Operations Manager to oversee their extensive fleet operations based in Montreal, Quebec . Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies for efficient fleet operations, including route planning, scheduling, and load optimization. Manage the maintenance program for all vehicles, ensuring compliance with manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements. Oversee the hiring, training, and performance management of drivers and dispatch personnel. Ensure all fleet operations comply with federal, provincial, and local transportation regulations (e.g., Hours of Service, vehicle safety inspections). Manage relationships with third-party maintenance providers, parts suppliers, and fuel vendors. Develop and manage the fleet operations budget, controlling costs related to fuel, maintenance, insurance, and staffing. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track fleet efficiency, safety, and utilization. Investigate and resolve transportation-related incidents, accidents, and customer complaints. Utilize fleet management software to monitor vehicle performance, track maintenance schedules, and manage driver compliance. Contribute to strategic planning for fleet expansion, technology adoption, and overall supply chain improvement initiatives for our client in the Montreal, Quebec region. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in fleet management, transportation, or logistics operations. Proven experience in managing a large fleet of commercial vehicles. Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance best practices, transportation regulations, and safety protocols. Demonstrated experience in budget management and cost control. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in fleet management software and related technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
