As Counsel, you will utilize your Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) to engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively. The role requires a blend of legal knowledge, critical thinking, and strong communication to provide effective risk-based solutions in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer timely and accurate legal advice on litigation matters
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve legal issues
• Educate teams about legal implications affecting OPG’s business
• Build effective relationships within the organization and externally
• Manage workload effectively while seeking new challenges
Requirements:
• JD or LLB and Law Society of Ontario membership
• 3-5 years of litigation experience in energy, regulatory, or commercial law
• Ability to provide sound legal advice in complex matters
• Strong verbal communication and influence skills
• Proficiency with technology tools in legal practice
