Government Client of TEKsystems Application Systems Analyst – Senior - CLGYJP00000528 Duration: 08/01/2026 to 08/31/2027 On-site presence is required when needed, with partial remote work acceptable. Description: The IT Client Solutions Transportation Project Centre is looking for a Senior Application Systems Analyst with experience in analyzing, planning, and implementing software solutions in large, complex environments. These solutions can include commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) packages and in-house developed solutions. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, envisioning, database modeling, team management, technical analysis, design, project planning, and estimating. This role requires a technical individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can work both independently and as part of a diverse team. They must be able to build trusted relationships, demonstrate innovation and initiative, and focus on customer service. The Senior Application Systems Analyst will work with other government IT resources, external vendors, other projects, and government business unit stakeholders to implement solutions following the government client's policies, processes, and methodologies for enterprise integrations. Client Solutions provides IT solutions to internal business unit clients, which may include software development, vendor package procurement and implementations, or enhancements and upgrades to existing applications. All projects will follow approved project management and software solutions methodologies and adhere to applicable policies and processes. The Senior Application Systems Analyst is essential in implementing technology solutions to meet the needs of various business units. Objectives: The successful candidate will work with our client's to gather requirements, recommend options, perform technical analysis, and assist in software solution implementation. They will ensure smooth and timely delivery and transition to support teams, facilitate requirements gathering sessions, assist in project planning and estimating, conduct knowledge transfer, provide status reporting, and communicate with a broad spectrum of stakeholders. Deliverables: Deliverables include user requirements documentation per government standards, recommendations on alternative solutions, government-specific design documentation, documentation per The government client's methodologies, coordination of project tasks, test plan preparation and UAT coordination, release planning, and transition to support with documentation. Essential Skills 1. Seven (7) years' experience, within the last ten (10) years implementing software solutions in large, complex, integrated environments. These solutions include COT (commercial off-the-shelf) solutions and in-house application development. 2. Seven (7) years' experience, within the last ten (10) years, in an analysis role demonstrating the ability to collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of information provided by business representatives and translate those requirements into an innovative software solution that can be communicated to technical resources and the client Desired Skills 1. Three (3) years' experience, within the last eight (5) years, in the public sector or large organizations; 2. Two (2) years' experience with IT analysis work (application design, software implementation, system upgrades, software development and documentation); 3. Strong customer service skills; 4. Proficient verbal and written communication skills to communicate both internally and externally with personnel at all levels; 5. Proficiency in documenting requirements and other project required artifacts including architecture and database design documents and operation guides; 6. Experience writing user stories for agile development 7. Three (3) years experience in Agile practices and the scrum master role.
