About this role
Become a part-time Registered Nurse at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, focusing on delivering ECT and ketamine infusion while providing vital patient care. This role emphasizes emergency skills and teamwork.
This temporary part-time position (0.6 FTE) involves monitoring health status during ECT procedures and intravenous ketamine infusion. You will also be responsible for documenting client vitals and operating essential medical equipment. As an integral member of the ECT team, you will contribute to mental health recovery while ensuring compliance with safety practices and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up equipment and supplies for E.C.T. procedures
• Assist in delivering E.C.T. and monitor clients' health
• Document details from patient charts into E.C.T. Case Report Forms
• Ensure compliance with Health Canada regulations
• Maintain a safe and inclusive work environment
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• BScN preferred, with CPR certification updated
• Experience in community mental health an asset
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills
• Bilingualism considered an asset
