Community is looking for a VP, Performance Marketing & Product to join our creative crew! Position Overview: The VP, Performance Marketing & Product is a senior leadership role responsible for driving measurable growth across our client portfolio and internal initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of performance marketing, data, and digital product – bringing a clear, strategic point of view on how to scale effectively. You will lead integrated growth strategies, oversee digital product development, and guide teams with a strong understanding of performance data and how it translates into action. As a senior voice in the agency, you will partner with clients and internal leadership to challenge assumptions, refine direction, and ensure work is grounded in outcomes, not just execution. Key Responsibilities: Performance & Growth Leadership • Lead the development and execution of integrated growth strategies across paid media, CRM/lifecycle, SEO, and conversation optimization. • Own client performance outcomes, including customer acquisition, revenue growth, ROAS, CAC, LTV, retention, and profitability. • Provide senior oversight across key platforms (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, programmatic, retail media), ensuring strategies are rooted in performance and aligned to clear objectives. • Interpret cross-channel data holistically, identifying trends and translating insights into clear direction for teams. • Challenged briefs and client requests where needed, guiding teams toward the most effective approach, whether that means optimizing existing channels or expanding into new ones. • Establish and evolve forecasting models, measurement, frameworks, attribution approaches and performance reporting. Product & Development Leadership • Lead digital product strategy and roadmap development across client internal initiatives. • Oversee website and platform development – from scoping and costing through execution – ensuring solutions align with performance and business goals. • Translate client needs and technical requirements into actionable direction for development, analytics, and product teams. • Guide teams in working within and optimizing existing client ecosystems, including leveraging current platforms and infrastructure. • Evaluate and implement AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency. • Maintain a strong understanding of how digital products are built to confidently direct teams and ensure high-quality delivery. Leadership & Business Impact: • Act as a senior partner to clients, aligning marketing and product strategies with broader business objectives. • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across performance marketing, product, analytics, creative, and development. • Oversee marketing technology, data infrastructure, and platform integrations. • Manage significant media investments, ensuring budgets and allocated effectively to drive results. • Present strategic recommendations, performance insights, and growth opportunities to senior client stakeholders. • Play a key role in business development, including new business pitches, strategic planning, and identifying opportunities for growth. • Drive digital transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and overall business performance. Qualifications: Experience: 10+ years in performance marketing, digital strategy, or related fields, with demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role. Skills: • Deep understanding of performance marketing channels and how to scale them effectively. • Strong, holistic understanding of data – how it flows across platforms, how to interpret it, and translate it into action. • Ability to challenge strategy and ask the right questions to drive better outcomes. • Experience leading digital product and development initiatives, including scoping, costing, and guiding builds. • Strong knowledge of marketing technology, analytics, attribution, and measurement frameworks. • Familiarity with AI and automation tools and their practical application in marketing and product environments. • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Technology, or a related field Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of digital marketing and advertising landscape, including emerging platforms, technologies, and consumer behaviour. As such, this role is based full-time in our office at 822 Richmond St. W, Toronto, Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. Salary: The anticipated base compensation range for this role is $175,000 - $200,000. Actual base pay offered within this range may differ based on a range of factors, including individual experience, education, skills, and organizational needs.
