Role Overview As Data Analyst, you actively contribute to various initiatives by analyzing data to solve business problems and providing valuable insights. You understand the insurance business domain and ensure your tasks contribute to meeting business objectives by applying appropriate methods, critical thinking, and performing analysis. Responsibilities • Autonomously perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis using recommended methods (e.g., regression, cohort analysis, cluster analysis, A/B testing, factor analysis). • Design and develop metrics to enable descriptive and diagnostic analysis. • Autonomously design proof of concept and deliver with guidance a prototype analytical solution for effective storytelling and analysis. • Work on data querying (T‑SQL, SQL, MySQL, etc.), extract, clean, reconcile, and prepare data for analysis. • Autonomously communicate findings to colleagues and your manager in an effective manner. Qualifications • You have 3–5 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence or a related domain. • You hold a university degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent technical experience. ACAS or FCAS designations are an asset. • You have experience solving standard problems by analyzing possible solutions, using judgment, precedent, and challenging the status quo. • You possess good knowledge and understanding of data analysis, programming, modeling techniques, data warehouse and data management, research, architecture, and design. • Experience with the following technologies is required: (TBD during Recruitment Discussion) • Experience with the following technologies is an asset: (TBD during Recruitment Discussion) Success Traits • You influence change and are committed to continuous improvement, aiming to exceed client expectations. • You leverage critical thinking skills to identify problems and proactively propose solutions. • You have strong communication skills to convey messages clearly. • You are an effective team player who shares knowledge to support peers. Salary Information Expected salary range: CAD $60,000 to $100,000. The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co‑operators in its discretion and will vary depending on local market conditions, geography, and relevant job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience, and education.
