We are building one of Canada’s most connected and dynamic leadership communities, and we are looking for a Director, Marketing & Events to help us tell that story, grow our membership, and deliver the experiences that keep extraordinary leaders coming back.

What You Will Own
Brand & Identity
• Champion and steward a newly established brand identity, ensuring consistency, integrity, and elevation across every channel and touch point
• Establish and protect brand standards across all materials, communications, and member-facing experiences
• Develop and maintain the organization’s voice: how we sound in the market, on stage, and in print
• Ensure all external touch points reflect the calibre of the leaders we serve
Marketing & Content
• Build and execute an integrated marketing strategy across digital, social, email, and events
• Develop thought leadership content that positions PEO Leadership | Innovators Alliance as the premier leadership development platform for executives
• Produce the member newsletter and other regular communications to members and prospective members
• Develop marketing packages and presentation materials that support the member acquisition process
• Manage website, SEO, and digital presence
• Own the marketing calendar and campaign execution - ensuring events and key touch points are planned and communicated at least six months in advance to support efficient prospecting and member engagement
• Own the strategic content agenda of the organization, working with external partners and internal stakeholders to turn insights, events, and member stories into compelling thought leadership and growth assets
Member Recruitment: Top of Funnel
• Drive awareness and lead generation for new member recruitment across Peer Advisory Boards and the Leadership Community
• Develop and maintain a suite of member acquisition materials including one-pagers and brochures, member testimonials and success stories, and customized proposals or packages for prospective members and renewing members
• Build and manage inbound and outbound marketing to qualified CEO and founder audiences
• Own the systems, campaigns, and event strategy that generate qualified executive conversations and materially contribute to annual membership growth targets
• Define and track key funnel metrics: impressions, leads, qualified referrals
• Partner closely with the President, Executive Advisors, and member recruitment team to move prospects from awareness to conversation to conversion
• Build and evolve referral, ambassador, and member-advocacy systems that turn community trust into sustainable growth
Events & Community
• Own the 2-Day Annual Conference, managing all aspects of production including venue sourcing, AV, speaker coordination, sponsor fulfillment, run-of-show, and marketing to both members and prospective members
• Own the Eye of the Executive (EOE) events; a series of 3-4 in-person events held annually in and around the Greater Toronto Area, with a virtual option for members outside the GTA
• Manage all aspects of EOE event production: venue sourcing, AV and production quality, run-of-show, speaker coordination, and on-site execution
• Work with Strategic Partners and community partners to co-host and contribute to our Conference and events where appropriate, coordinating their involvement and ensuring a seamless experience
• Market all events to both current members and prospective members, driving registration, awareness, and attendance across both audiences
• Work with the Sales team post-event to convert prospective member attendance into member conversations

• Develop co-marketing and activation strategies with strategic partner to extend market reach, strengthen programming and create mutual value across the broader leadership community
What We Are Looking For
Experience
• 8-12 years in marketing, with meaningful time spent in brand leadership, B2B marketing, or membership-based organizations
• Proven experience developing the strategy and executing large-scale events for executive audiences, from concept through to on-site delivery
• Proven ability to manage a rebrand or brand evolution - not just execute creative, but shape strategy
• Experience marketing to senior executives, founders, or high-net-worth audiences is a strong asset
• Background in professional services, associations, executive education, or peer networks is a strong asset
• Comfortable in a small, high-accountability team where you build more than you delegate
Skills & Attributes
• Exceptional writer and storyteller. An individual who can translate complex positioning into sharp, credible language, including corporate communications and member-facing content
• Data-informed. Makes recommendations and decisions based on results and evaluation
• Organized and self-directed - can manage multiple workstreams, set and meet deadlines, and prioritize without constant oversight
• Emotionally intelligent. An individual who builds genuine rapport and is comfortable interacting with accomplished CEOs and founders.
• Direct communicator who welcomes honest feedback and gives it in return
• Working knowledge of creative and functional design. Can brief an agency or execute independently when needed
• Comfortable with CRM and email marketing platforms, and is able to manage contact databases and campaign reporting
• Strong relationship-building capabilities with C-level leaders, event sponsors, and community partners
• Puts AI tools to work to accelerate content creation, research, and campaign execution without sacrificing quality or brand voice
• Builder mindset – someone who is energized by creating structure, systems, and processes
