About the Role: RMI LLP is seeking an experienced and driven Assurance Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This is an ideal role for a CPA-designated or soon-to-be designated professional with strong technical expertise, a client-focused mindset, and a passion for Assurance work.
Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Delivery
• Complete audit and review engagements in accordance with Canadian ASPE, ASNPO, and/or IFRS standards where applicable
• Ensure engagement quality, risk management, and timely delivery of services
• Provide value-added insights and recommendations on files
Client Relationship Management
• Serve as a point of contact for clients
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships through proactive communication
Technical & Compliance Excellence
• Stay current with changes in accounting and auditing standards and regulations in Canada
• Provide technical guidance to more junior team members when needed
• Ensure adherence to firm policies and professional standards
Qualifications:
• CPA designation (CPA Canada) preferred but not required
• Minimum 3+ years of public practice experience, with significant Review engagement experience
• Strong knowledge of Canadian auditing and accounting standards (CAS, ASPE, IFRS, ASNPO)
• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities
• Experience working with privately held businesses and/or not-for-profit organizations is required
