About this role

About the Role Join Edmonton’s largest framing company as an Apprentice or Journeyperson Electrician, supporting our growing Electrical division on residential construction projects. In this hands-on role, you will be a key player in meeting production schedules while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. You’ll work alongside apprentices and other trades to deliver safe, efficient, and on-time homes across Edmonton and surrounding areas. We’re looking for a leader who takes pride in their workmanship, thrives in a team environment, and enjoys supporting the next generation of tradespeople through mentorship and guidance. Key Responsibilities • Complete residential electrical installations in accordance with drawings, instructions, production schedules, and quality standards. • Ensure all work complies with applicable Canadian electrical codes and company procedures. • Perform electrical service work and install main electrical services on new home builds. • Maintain a high standard of safety and cleanliness on all job sites. • Identify and correct deficiencies to minimize rework and callbacks. • Guide and support apprentices through day-to-day mentorship and promotion of proper workmanship. • Communicate proactively with the Electrical Manager regarding production, quality, or scheduling. • Ensure required materials and tools are available prior to and during installations. • Collaborate with other trades and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements • Alberta Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent. • Solid knowledge of residential electrical installations and service work. • Strong technical skills with high attention to detail and workmanship quality. • Blueprint reading and interpretation skills. • Lead hand experience. • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management abilities. • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract. • Must supply basic hand tools. Working Conditions • Physically demanding work in residential construction environments. • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. • Frequent use of hand and power tools. • Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and construction hazards.
