About this role

Role Summary FIELDBOSS is a field service ERP built on Microsoft Dynamics, serving elevator and HVAC contractors across North America. The product team is growing, and we need someone to lead it. The Product Lead owns the day-to-day management of four product managers, the maturation of our product development processes, and the operational health of the team. This role reports directly to the Chief Product Officer and is the connective layer between product strategy and team execution. Reporting & Team Context Reports to: Chief Product Officer Direct Reports: 4 Product Managers Key Collaborators: Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, Implementation Key ResponsibilitiesPeople Management • Run weekly 1:1s with each PM, providing coaching, feedback, and career development support. • Onboard new team members and help them ramp quickly into the FIELDBOSS product and processes. • Partner with the CPO on hiring decisions, including sourcing, interviewing, and evaluating candidates. Product Operations • Own and mature the team's product development processes -- discovery, prioritization, requirements, and delivery -- grounded in best practices and adapted to where FIELDBOSS is today. • Lead the ongoing build-out of Aha! as the team's product management platform, including its integration with Azure DevOps and the conventions the team uses within it. • Establish consistent standards for how the team documents decisions, manages the backlog, and communicates roadmap status internally and to stakeholders. Customer Feedback & Discovery • Lead the development of channels through which customer feedback flows into the product team -- from support tickets and customer success conversations to structured interviews and advisory input -- working with the CPO to shape the overall approach. • Ensure PMs have access to consistent, actionable customer insight and that feedback is being captured, organized, and connected to roadmap decisions rather than getting lost. • Work with Customer Success and Sales to close the loop on feedback, coordinating with the CPO where responses touch on product direction or customer commitments. Execution & Delivery • Ensure PMs have what they need to deliver -- clear scope, resolved blockers, and aligned stakeholders. • Track delivery across the team and surface risks or gaps to the CPO before they become problems. • Drive accountability for outcomes, not just output -- help the team measure what matters. Stakeholder Alignment • Serve as a point of escalation for cross-functional issues that cut across multiple product areas. • Maintain visibility into dependencies between product areas and flag conflicts early. • Work with the CPO to prepare roadmap communications for leadership and key stakeholders, and represent the team in cross-functional forums as appropriate. Scope & Decision Authority This role has broad operational authority over how the product team runs day-to-day. The Product Lead makes independent decisions on team process, tooling, onboarding, and PM-level coaching. Roadmap priorities, major product decisions, customer feedback strategy, and hiring outcomes are made jointly with the CPO. Process and people decisions made here affect every PM on the team and ripple into how every product area is run, so the expectation is that this person thinks carefully before changing things and communicates clearly when they do. QualificationsRequired • 5+ years in product management, with at least 2 years owning a defined product area end-to-end. • Demonstrated experience managing or mentoring other PMs, or strong references supporting readiness to step into that responsibility. • Hands-on experience designing or improving product development processes -- not just following them. • Comfort working in a high-ambiguity environment where processes are being built, not inherited. • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to represent the team clearly to senior stakeholders. Preferred • Experience with Aha!, Azure DevOps, or similar product management and engineering toolchains. • Background in B2B SaaS, vertical software, or Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem products. • Experience in a scale-up or growth-stage company where process maturity was part of the job. • Familiarity with field service, construction, or trades industry software.Tips: Provide a summary of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how this role fits into the organization overall.
