Elevate your engineering career as a Mechanical Design Engineer with DFI in Edmonton, Alberta. This temporary role focuses on design optimization and engaging R&D initiatives in a collaborative team environment.
This position supports the company during a maternity leave and reports directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager. As a key player, you will upgrade in-house designs and analyze equipment failures to suggest innovative solutions. Comprehensive documentation and 3D modeling will play a vital role in your daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Upgrade and optimize existing equipment designs
• Engage actively in research and development projects
• Analyze failures and create effective solutions
• Review vendor proposals and relevant documentation
• Develop 3D models and conduct FEA studies
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Engineer status or ongoing qualification preferred
• Experience in custom manufacturing environments
• Proficient in 3D modeling, preferably with Inventor
• Strong multitasking and communication skills
