You will be responsible for managing all logistical aspects of catering operations, from initial client contact and proposal development to event execution and post-event analysis. Key Responsibilities: Manage all day-to-day catering operations, ensuring efficient and seamless execution of all events. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of catering staff, including event coordinators, service staff, and logistics personnel. Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance service quality, efficiency, and profitability. Oversee event logistics, including venue coordination, staffing, transportation, and equipment management. Manage inventory of catering supplies, beverages, and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels and cost control. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality goods and services. Develop and manage event budgets, meticulously tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Serve as a key point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu execution aligns with operational capabilities and client expectations. Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and fostering client relationships. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered. A minimum of 8 years of experience in catering operations management, with a significant portion in a senior or managerial capacity. Proven experience managing large-scale, complex events for corporate, social, and non-profit clients. Demonstrated success in leading and motivating diverse teams. Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, P&L management, and cost control. Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and willingness to travel within the San Jose, California, US metropolitan area as needed.
