In this crucial role, you will engage collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team to deliver person-centered, recovery-oriented mental health services. Focused on children and adolescents, your responsibilities include conducting assessments, crisis counseling, and ensuring smooth transitions between hospital and community care. The position calls for recent experience in child and adolescent mental health or crisis stabilization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate discharge plans with healthcare teams
• Provide short-term crisis counseling and interventions
• Refer patients to community treatment services
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation
• Participate in research and quality improvement activities
Requirements:
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
• Active RN and/or RPN registration with BCCNM
• Two years of recent experience in relevant settings
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
• Knowledge of mental health treatment and psychopharmacology
