About the Opportunity
Revenue Recognition:
• Lead the revenue recognition process in accordance with [GAAP/IFRS] and industry best practices.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly revenue close processes, ensuring accurate reporting of sales, commissions, and related costs.
• Ensure alignment between revenue recognition, commission structures, and overall financial reporting.
• Manage the timing and recognition of revenue in complex contractual arrangements and recurring sales models.
• Perform detailed reviews of contracts and sales agreements to ensure proper accounting treatment for revenue recognition.
• Coordinate with sales and accounting teams to ensure accurate forecasting and financial reporting.
General Financial Oversight:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, highlighting key metrics and trends.
• Reconcile revenue and commission-related balances to ensure proper financial tracking.
• Assist in developing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to streamline financial operations.
• Work closely with senior leadership to support business decisions and optimize financial performance.
• Assist in preparing for audits, including providing necessary documentation for revenue and payroll audits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding payroll and revenue recognition.
Process Improvement:
• Continuously assess and improve payroll and revenue recognition processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline payroll processing and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with IT and software vendors to maintain and optimize payroll and accounting systems.

• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

About You
• CPA or other relevant certifications preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on payroll and revenue recognition.
• Prior experience in managing payroll for a sales team, including commissions and bonus structures.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606 or equivalent).
• Experience with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements
