About this role

All for mission-ready excellence. Description As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician , you will play a vital role in keeping aircraft safe, reliable, and ready for flight. Through inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, testing, servicing, and maintenance activities, you will help ensure the continued availability and performance of aircraft used in critical training operations. Joining CAE's team on the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program , you will support the training of the next generation of Royal Canadian Air Force personnel. In partnership with SkyAlyne, CAE delivers world-class training solutions that help prepare aircrew for mission success. Inspect, maintain, repair, and test aircraft systems Remove and replace line-replaceable units and components Perform specialty maintenance tasks in shop environments as required Interpret technical publications, drawings, and diagrams Maintain tools and equipment required for assigned duties Order aircraft spare parts and materials as needed Conduct flight line servicing operations Provide updates and debriefs to the Team Lead as required Perform workplace inspections and general housekeeping duties Fulfill Desk Controller responsibilities when required This position is based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Relocation support is available. Minimum Qualifications Transport Canada M1/M2 certification (or equivalent Canadian Armed Forces training) Minimum 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in first-line maintenance Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong oral and written communication skills in English Ability to work shifts and travel occasionally as required Valid driver’s license Knowledge of aerospace design and maintenance practices Ability to obtain a Government of Canada Reliability security clearance Eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit), or ability to obtain eligibility Preferred Qualifications Equivalent international certifications (FAA A&P, EASA B1/B2, etc.) welcomed Second-line maintenance experience considered an asset Experience in lifecycle support activities Benefits We’ve designed flexible policies to promote well-being and growth, based on role-specific eligibility and requirements: Well-being focused benefits supporting individual needs People-first culture grounded in respect, empowerment, and inclusion Inclusive environment where employee voices are heard and valued Welcoming work environment promoting belonging and professional growth Relocation assistance available Predictable work schedules (Monday to Friday; day shift 7:00 AM–3:00 PM and evening shift 3:00 PM–11:00 PM; schedules communicated in advance) Minimum 40 hours per week with paid overtime Competitive salary based on experience (up to $45.06/hour) Tools, equipment, safety gear, and work boot allowance provided Flexible group insurance plan Vacation, paid statutory holidays, and sick leave Paid holiday shutdown from December 24 to January 2 (inclusive) Competitive pension plan Employee stock purchase plan Maternity leave and global parental leave Social and community events throughout the year About CAE At CAE, our mission is clear: to help make the world a safer place.
