What you’ll do
•
Design plumbing and mechanical systems for commercial building projects.
•
Develop HVAC and de-humidification system designs tailored to project requirements.
•
Design industrial ventilation systems and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
•
Select and design fire sprinkler and suppression systems.
•
Design heating plants, boiler systems, and manage replacements.
•
Work on water and air source heat pump systems and radiant systems.
•
Design domestic hot water systems (indirect and direct).
•
Develop booster pump stations using variable speed drives.
•
Design chiller plants and lead chiller replacement projects.
•
Coordinate life safety systems, including backflow preventers.
•
Perform equipment sizing and selection for all mechanical systems.
•
Design clean rooms in accordance with Health Canada requirements.
•
Develop filtration systems following CSA standards.
•
Produce mechanical design drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
•
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and efficient solutions.
What you must have
•
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•
Advanced English level.
•
Proven experience designing mechanical systems for commercial projects.
•
Strong experience with HVAC, plumbing, and related building systems.
•
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
•
Experience with equipment sizing and system selection.
•
Familiarity with Canadian standards, including CSA and Health Canada requirements.
•
Strong communication and organizational skills.
•
Proactive mindset, accountability, and the ability to manage responsibilities with autonomy.
