About this role
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst-FP & A to support financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for a growing organization in Ottawa, Ontario. In this role, you will translate financial and operational data into meaningful recommendations that help leaders make informed business decisions. You will partner with teams across the business to strengthen budgeting practices, improve reporting, and contribute to long-range planning initiatives.Responsibilities:• Lead the annual planning cycle by coordinating budgets, periodic forecasts, and longer-term financial outlooks that reflect organizational priorities.• Develop and refine financial models that assess business performance, test scenarios, and support strategic and operational decisions.• Produce regular financial reports, variance analyses, and KPI dashboards to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities for leadership.• Work closely with department leaders to gather assumptions, validate inputs, and improve the accuracy of planning and forecasting activities.• Analyze large and complex datasets using financial and analytical tools to uncover insights that support planning and performance management.• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across areas such as operations, sales, and engineering to address financial questions and planning needs.• Identify and implement improvements to FP&A processes, reporting methods, and data workflows to increase efficiency and clarity.• Present financial findings and the business rationale behind key initiatives in a clear, concise manner for senior decision-makers.• Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards for accuracy and timeliness.
