Junior Financial Analyst / Financial Advisor Assistant Location: Calgary AB Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience About the Role We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Financial Analyst / Financial Advisor Assistant to join our growing financial planning and investment practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career professional who wants to build a long-term career in financial services. The successful candidate will support the Financial Advisor with client service, financial analysis, research, investment administration, and day-to-day office operations while gaining valuable industry experience. Key Responsibilities • Assist with preparing financial plans and investment reviews. • Conduct financial and investment research. • Analyze client financial information and prepare reports. • Prepare meeting materials and presentation packages. • Maintain accurate client files and documentation. • Coordinate client appointments and follow-up activities. • Assist with account administration and paperwork. • Communicate professionally with clients by phone and email. • Maintain spreadsheets and internal databases. • Perform general administrative duties to support the advisory practice. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (or currently completing one). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication. • High attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong organizational and time-management skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Professional, ethical, and client-focused attitude. Preferred Qualifications • Interest in financial planning, investments, or wealth management. • Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM software. • Progress toward or interest in pursuing CFA, CFP, CSC, or other financial industry designations is considered an asset.
