Public Relations Manager
Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days/week in office)
$75,000 – $100,000 + 8% Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

Our client, a globally recognized leader in professional services, is seeking a Public Relations Manager to lead its Canadian public relations strategy and elevate its presence across national media. What You'll Be Doing:
• Develop and execute the Canadian public relations strategy in partnership with the North American PR team.
• Build and strengthen relationships with national, business, and trade media.
• Proactively pitch timely commentary, industry trends, and data-driven insights to secure high-profile media coverage.
• Manage incoming media requests while supporting issues management and crisis communications.
• Prepare senior executives for media interviews through messaging, briefing documents, and coaching.
• Write and edit compelling press releases, media pitches, bylines, blogs, and thought leadership content.
• Support large-scale thought leadership initiatives, including annual industry reports and market research programs.
• Partner cross-functionally with Marketing and HR on employer brand initiatives, awards, events, and corporate communications.
• Track media performance and provide reporting on PR initiatives and earned coverage.
What We're Looking For:
• 5+ years of experience in Public Relations and Media Relations.
• Demonstrated success securing Tier 1 media coverage through proactive outreach and relationship building.
• Outstanding writing, editing, and storytelling abilities across press releases, pitches, and long-form content.
• Experience preparing senior executives for media opportunities and interviews.
• Strong executive presence with the confidence to advise and influence senior leadership.
• Ability to think quickly, adapt under pressure, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly proactive, resourceful, and tech-savvy, with comfort leveraging AI and emerging technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
Preferred Backgrounds:
Experience within professional services, recruitment and staffing, consulting, banking, financial services, legal, or large multinational organizations is highly valued. Agency professionals supporting similar industries are also encouraged to apply.
