About this role
Overview
We are seeking a commercially-focused Corporate Sales & Retail Manager to drive two revenue streams: corporate and private group bookings, and a growing retail and merchandise pipeline. This is a hands-on, revenue-generating role for someone who is equally comfortable on the phone with a corporate event planner and managing a retail product line from sourcing to sell-through. Reporting into the Head of Operations and Finance, you will own outbound sales for our experiences and build out our retail program across on-site, and direct channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate and Private Sales
• Own the full sales lifecycle for corporate, private, and large-scale group bookings across all Secret City experiences.
Retail and Merchandise Pipeline
• Build and manage the Secret City retail program across pins, posters, hats, apparel, and other experience-themed merchandise.
• Source and manage vendor and supplier relationships, including production timelines, quality control, and unit economics.
• Manage inventory, SKU planning, and pricing across on-site retail at experiences, e-commerce, and wholesale channels.
• Develop corporate gifting and custom merch bundles for private group clients as a value-add and incremental revenue stream.
• Track sell-through, margin, and inventory turn; recommend new product drops and discontinued SKUs based on performance.
Partnerships and Venue Development
• Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with third-party event venues, co-working spaces, and unique booking locations to expand our event footprint.
• Act as the primary point of contact for partnership contracts and logistics.
• Pursue retail partnership opportunities with local shops, hotels, and tourism partners to expand merchandise distribution.
Performance and Reporting
• Define and track KPIs across B2B sales, retail performance, and partnership ROI.
• Provide weekly pipeline, sales, and retail performance reports to senior leadership with clear recommendations.
• Own the budget for retail production and partnership development.
Admin
• Attend and contribute to weekly meetings, including All Hands, project specific meetings, and design critique sessions.
• Create FAQs and process documents to support cast, front-of-house, and operations teams on sales and retail workflows.
• Maintain expenses within allocated amounts and provide financial updates as required.
• Research and keep current with industry trends, developments, and tools.
• Participate in job-related training activities as necessary.
• Build and execute an outbound prospecting plan targeting corporates, agencies, event planners, hotels, concierges, and tourism partners.
• Manage inbound private and group inquiries from first touch through contract, payment, and on-site handoff.
• Negotiate and close partnership and event deals, consistently meeting defined revenue goals.
• Maintain an active pipeline in CRM with accurate forecasting and reporting.
Requirements
• 2-4 years of B2B sales, account management, retail merchandising, or partnerships experience.
• Proven track record of building and closing a sales pipeline, ideally in events, hospitality, entertainment, or experiential.
• Experience managing a retail or product line is a strong asset (sourcing, inventory, vendor management, pricing, sell-through).
• Comfortable juggling multiple deals and projects in a fast-moving environment.
• A connector with strong communication skills; able to build relationships with corporate clients, event planners, venue partners, vendors, and influencers.
• Data-driven mindset with creative instincts; equally comfortable reviewing a P&L and brainstorming a new product drop.
• Passionate about culture, lifestyle, and community in Toronto.
