About this role

Our client, a well-established General Contractor from BC, is expanding into the Calgary market and is seeking a Project Manager to lead this growth. Known for delivering high-end Tenant Improvement and New Construction projects across the Financial, Corporate Office, Education, Childcare, Restaurant, and Government sectors, this firm is committed to doing construction differently — leading with innovation, technology, and a people-first culture. Key Responsibilities: • Lead internal project teams, including Site Superintendents and Project Coordinators. • Manage project startup activities, including issuing contracts, insurance, bonds, and WCB notices. • Oversee project documentation using Procore and related platforms, including cost coding, submittals, schedules, and change orders. • Manage subtrades and suppliers, resolving issues that arise throughout the project lifecycle. • Partner with Site Superintendents to deliver quality results on schedule and on budget. • Act as the primary client liaison, meeting with architects, consultants, and clients to manage project issues and relationships. • Monitor and manage project budgets, identifying opportunities to control costs and reporting regularly to management. • Prepare monthly progress claims and review subtrade/supplier invoicing. • Take the lead in building new client and industry relationships in the Calgary market. Ideal Candidate Requirements: • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial tenant improvement construction as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager. • Strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing. • Post-secondary technical education in construction or a related field. • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and financial reporting with precision. • Strong relationship-building, communication, and leadership skills. • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership. • Willingness to travel to sites across Alberta as needed.
