About the position
As a Business Analyst within the Raymond James Project Management Office, you will support a diverse portfolio of strategic, technical, and regulatory initiatives across multiple business domains. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, subject‑matter experts, technology partners, and external vendors to understand problems, analyze processes, and define clear, actionable requirements that enable effective solution design and delivery. This role blends business analysis, technical analysis, and cross‑functional coordination. You will help translate business objectives into solutions that enhance advisor and client experiences, strengthen operational efficiency, and advance the firm’s transformation priorities.
Responsibilities
• Lead discovery and analysis activities to define business, functional, and non‑functional requirements across a range of initiatives.
• Develop high‑quality BA deliverables, including process maps, business requirements, use cases, epics/user stories and data mappings.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions with stakeholders at all levels.
• Conduct gap analysis, feasibility assessments, and impact analysis across systems and business processes.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and SMEs to support solution design, test planning, UAT, and implementation.
• Support change management, readiness planning, and post‑implementation validation activities.
• Document complex end‑to‑end workflows across client‑facing, operational, and system‑driven processes.
• Partner with SMEs to define requirements that enhance process efficiency, control, usability, and data accuracy.
• Support initiatives involving integrations with internal systems and third‑party vendors.
• Identify and clarify cross‑team dependencies, ensuring handoffs and responsibilities are well defined and understood.
Requirements
• Minimum 3-5 years of Business Analyst experience in wealth management
• Experience supporting front-, middle-, and back‑office wealth functions.
• Experience in onboarding, account servicing, portfolio management, investment products, regulatory workflows, financial reporting, or trading.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall SDLC
• Demonstrated proficiency in requirements documentation, process modeling, and systems analysis.
• Ability to concurrently work across multiple projects in a dynamic, high‑accountability environment.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft Office.
• Comfort analyzing data using Excel, SQL, or equivalent tools to validate requirements and support decision‑making
