About the role This position serves as a key people-leadership role, connecting leadership priorities with the employee experience. Reporting to the VP, People Success, the HR Business Partner will help strengthen performance, support managers, and ensure essential HR programs and processes are executed effectively. High performance and growth • Partner with managers as an advisor, helping them handle challenging discussions, strengthen team performance, and build leadership capability. • Own leadership development initiatives across the organization, including assessing needs, designing programs, and launching them. • Lead the annual rollout of Job Effectiveness Plans and performance review cycles so performance expectations are tracked and recognized. • Use people data to identify patterns and present insights on matters such as turnover, engagement, and culture to support better decision-making. • Work with the Senior Talent Partner on talent reviews, identifying strong future leaders and helping maintain a healthy succession pipeline. Employee experience • Manage employee engagement surveys and convert survey results into practical action plans. • Support internal communication efforts such as town halls and company updates so employees stay informed and connected to the culture. • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and investigations, with professionalism, fairness, and empathy. Compliance and operational oversight • Own the health and safety program, the annual policy review process, and compliance training completion throughout the year. • Guide and develop the HR Generalist while ensuring HR operations are delivered accurately and efficiently. • Provide oversight for payroll and benefits processes to help ensure compliance, competitiveness, and smooth administration. Requirements • 6 to 8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a business partner or manager-level role. • Prior experience managing at least one direct report. • Strong employee relations experience, including complex issues and workplace investigations. • Solid understanding of payroll cycles, tax compliance, and benefits administration, with the ability to oversee these areas. • Experience creating or running performance review and goal-setting processes aligned with business objectives. • Ability to influence senior leaders, provide candid advice, and act as a trusted partner to the VP. • Interest in using AI thoughtfully and experience applying AI-based solutions with sound judgment. Requirements • 6 to 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years at the business partner or manager level. • Experience leading at least one direct report. • Hands-on employee relations background, including difficult cases and workplace investigations. • Working knowledge of payroll processes, tax obligations, and benefits administration. • Experience managing performance review and goal-setting programs. • Confidence in influencing executives and giving direct, thoughtful advice. • Comfort using AI tools and implementing practical AI-driven improvements.
