Facility Manager

ABOUT US The Dakota Community Centre (DCC) is a dynamic, 160,000+ sq. ft. hub where sport, recreation, wellness, and community come together. Home to premier spaces including the Jonathan Toews Sportsplex, Dakota Fieldhouse, and Jumpstart Community Rink & Beach Volleyball Centre, DCC serves thousands of visitors through year-round programs, events, and amenities. THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Facility Manager to lead daily operations, support long-term facility planning, and help ensure our busy multi-use complex remains safe, welcoming, and exceptionally maintained for the community we serve. What you'll do • Oversee daily operating of the physical facility and its staff team • Manage arena ice maintenance and repair • Ensure HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance systems and maintained and operational • Develop and monitor maintenance budget • Build a preventative maintenance schedule What you bring • Manitoba W Class Refrigeration Power Engineer's certificate. • Possession of a Manitoba 4th Class Refrigeration (or higher) Power Engineer’s certificate is an asset. • Class 5 driver's license • Experience in facility management (recreation or municipal preferred) • Strong understanding of HVAC, ice plant, and general building systems • Knowledge of facility safety standards • Collaborative, solution-focused mindset • Ability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends as required.
