Big data dev Lead Primary skill- Java, Big Data Location: Toronto, ON (4 days from office) Rate: CAD$60/hr on T4 6+ months Contract JD: 10+ years of experience in Big Data technologies, Java Strong programming skills in Java Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and working with relational databases Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is highly desirable Experience with Hadoop ecosystem, Hive, and other distributed systems is a plus Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git) ·Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards. Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
