Our client, a prominent player in the FMCG sector, is seeking an analytical and forward-thinking Supply Chain Analyst to join their fully remote team. This critical role will focus on optimizing inventory levels, improving logistics efficiency, and enhancing overall supply chain performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and a deep understanding of supply chain principles. Responsibilities: Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in areas such as inventory management, logistics, and warehousing. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain performance and provide regular reports to stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, operations, sales) and external partners (suppliers, logistics providers) to ensure seamless supply chain execution. Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to optimize stock availability while minimizing holding costs. Identify cost-saving opportunities throughout the supply chain and implement cost-reduction initiatives. Design and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance customer satisfaction. Utilize data analysis and modeling techniques to support decision-making related to network optimization, transportation, and inventory planning. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure reliable service and competitive pricing. Monitor industry best practices and emerging technologies in supply chain management and recommend adoption where appropriate. Assist in the development and implementation of new supply chain processes and systems. Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses to support strategic projects and operational needs. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies within the supply chain. Support the implementation of new product launches by ensuring supply chain readiness. Troubleshoot and resolve supply chain disruptions and challenges as they arise. Contribute to the negotiation of contracts with suppliers and service providers. Optimize transportation routes and modes to reduce costs and improve delivery times. Develop and maintain documentation for supply chain processes and procedures. Train relevant staff on supply chain best practices and system usage. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, inventory management, or a related field within the FMCG industry. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proven ability to interpret complex data sets. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, Tableau, or Power BI. Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Supply Chain Management (SCM) software. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment. Knowledge of inventory management techniques (e.g., JIT, EOQ) and forecasting methods. Understanding of logistics and transportation operations.
