Role Description
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Sales and Business Development to lead and expand our sales initiatives. The role involves developing and executing business strategies, building and maintaining client relationships, identifying new market opportunities. The individual will collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless customer experiences and achieve organizational goals. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Mississauga, ON.
The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing the company's sales strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and securing profitable customer relationships across Canada. This individual will play a critical role in expanding our customer base, strengthening market presence, and achieving ambitious growth objectives.
The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with extensive experience in the Canadian trucking and transportation industry, a strong network of shippers and logistics decision-makers, and a track record of delivering consistent revenue growth.
Qualifications
• Proven expertise in Sales and Sales Operations to drive revenue growth and implement effective strategies
• Strong skills in Business Development with experience identifying opportunities, negotiating deals, and fostering business partnerships
• Experience in Customer Service to enhance client satisfaction and manage long-term relationships
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Proficiency in using CRM tools and analytics to monitor sales performance and trends
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus
• Previous experience within the logistics and supply chain industry is highly advantageous
• Identify, pursue, and secure new customer opportunities across Canada.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and onboarding.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline and provide regular forecasting and reporting.
• Lead strategic account development initiatives to maximize customer retention and revenue growth.
• Contribute to pricing strategies and contract negotiations to ensure profitable growth.
