Position Title: Project Manager III - L&D Duration: 5 Months (Possible extension) Business Unit: 4 - HR Learning & Development Schedule: Monday to Friday – 8:30-5 Location: 66 Wellington Street West, Toronto, Ontario - 4 days in office Possibility of any Additional Upcoming Furlough: standard Scope of Project: Project work – L&D training projects – mid to high complexity projects Team Size/Culture: 20 ppl Training Period: No CANDIDATE PROFILE DETAILS: Degree/Level of Education: Post secondary education Certifications Required: PMP and agile cert is nice have Years of Overall Experience: 5-7 years How will performance be measured: Deliverables Preferred/Ideal Candidate Background: learning and development team, exp in PM, program management is a good to have, exp in industry or insurance space SUMMARY OF THE ROLE: Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities: status calls, Manage the risks/stakeholders, Ensure project is kept on time and budget - How much time is being spent in meetings: depending day to day - Who are they interacting with (internal/external) – both - Will the contractor have access to any customer data? NO MUST-HAVE Hard Skills: Banking or financial industry or insurance companies– years of experience measure 5 yrs Project Management experience is a must MS Project/ MS office Suite Managing medium to high complexity projects Project Manager experience in Learning & Development 5 years Agile experience/SCRUM Strong organizational skills and strong communication skills Interview process: 2 to 3 rounds Job Details: Summary Of Day To Day Responsibilities: Develop an understanding of overall portfolio/program movement with individual lines of business and rationalize how the assigned projects fit with business priorities in the long term Drive L&D processes to implement learning solutions in various formats including but not limited to in-person or virtual Instructor-led training (ILT), eLearning, webinars, self-directed learner pathways, and workshops Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of medium-to-high complexity L&D projects, leveraging key project management tools to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget Support the vendor selection, engagement and onboarding process when third-party learning solutions are within scope Develop and implement effective stakeholder engagement strategies Build relationships and maintain regular communications with internal and external stakeholders Report on project progress with project teams and business stakeholders at different levels In partnership with L&D CoEs and business partners, support the development of a delivery strategy, change & launch communications plan, and maintenance plan Ensure tight governance control and actively manage/resolve risks and issues Conduct project retrospectives and act on lessons learned for continuous improvement Stay current with emerging trends in project management inclusive of Agile and hybrid project practices and principles Be an active member of the broader project management community by sharing subject matter expertise and learning to advance professional growth
