Hiring Capital Markets - IT Professionals

Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Hybrid (Work from Office) Experience: 8+ Years We are actively looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Capital Markets, specifically in Prime Brokerage, Repo, and Securities Lending. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications. • Build and support Capital Markets platforms. • Develop REST APIs and Microservices. • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams. • Perform code reviews and production support. • Drive performance optimization and system enhancements. • Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Required Skills • 8+ years of Java development experience. • Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and Microservices. • Experience with REST APIs, Multithreading, and Object-Oriented Programming concepts. • Strong SQL expertise (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL). • Experience with Kafka, JMS, or MQ messaging technologies. • Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills • Experience in Prime Brokerage, Repo, Securities Lending, or Capital Markets. • Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications within financial services environments.
