AI Engineer

<p><strong>Location Qualifications:<br></strong>Bucharest (hybrid, 2 days in the office)</p> <p><strong>About the position</strong></p> <p>As an AI Engineer at Showpad, you will contribute to our AI and machine learning initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement AI technologies that align with our business goals. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers to build impactful solutions and grow your expertise in a fast-moving space.</p> <p>You'll work with state-of-the-art technologies such as LLM models like LLama 3/3.1, Claude models, AWS Bedrock, AWS Sagemaker, and AWS OpenSearch. Our primary languages are Python, TypeScript, and Kotlin. The AI and Generative AI space is evolving rapidly, and so are we — we continuously update to the newest models, track emerging techniques, and engage in extensive experimentation with prompt engineering.</p> <p><br><br></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain AI models to solve complex business problems</li> <li>Contribute to projects from scoping through to release, under the guidance of senior engineers</li> <li>Support the performance and reliability of AI and machine learning systems</li> <li>Collaborate effectively across teams, sharing progress and surfacing blockers early</li> <li>Design, craft, and optimize prompts that guide our AI systems to generate accurate, informative, and creative outputs</li> <li>Contribute to engineering and product discussions, bringing fresh perspectives.</li> </ul> <p><br><br></p> <p><strong>Are you our next AI Engineer?</strong></p> <p>Must haves</p> <ul> <li>Educational background in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field — or equivalent knowledge gained through hands-on experience</li> <li>Experience developing and implementing AI models and algorithms</li> <li>Good knowledge of Python</li> <li>Hands-on experience working with LLMs and other Generative AI models</li> <li>Experience working with AWS or other cloud providers</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively</li> <li>Good communication and collaboration skills</li> </ul> <p>Nice to haves</p> <ul> <li>Experience building retrieval augmented generation (RAG) systems</li> <li>Experience with search algorithms</li> <li>Experience working in an agile team</li> <li>Experience with the evaluation of (Generative) AI systems</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Company Highlights:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Welcome to the new era of revenue effectiveness.
