Large general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to direct major data centre projects ($150m+). You’re a Project Manager with over 10 years of experience. You will develop and execute project plans and schedules, ensure the highest safety and quality standards. You have a proven track record for meeting budgets, schedules, and scope. Outpost Recruitment is excited to work with our client on this full-time permanent role. Salary Range: $150,000 - $190,000.
Responsibilities of Senior Project Manager:
• Provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion including design, coordination, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent.
• Prepare regular, timely, and accurate billings for Owners, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
• Meet with Owners, Architects, and other Stakeholders professionally and communicate effectively regarding concerns and company interests.
• Monitor, interpret, and forecast project cost reports, ensuring alignment with estimates and maintaining positive cash flow.
• Submit project reports to Area Manager and communicate project progress and risks requiring escalation.
• Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to support team development and project progression.
• Experience in Acute Healthcare Renovations and New Builds.
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, including technology, equipment, methods; familiarity with company policies, procedures, standards, union jurisdiction, labor agreements, and negotiations.
• Experience in post-secondary schools and student housing construction is an asset.
• Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills required.
Education & Experience of Senior Project Manager:
• Engineering degree and 10+ years of construction experience, including 5 years in Data Centre projects, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Experience with engineering, design-build, and construction management delivery models/contracts.
• Working knowledge of construction scopes, scheduling, project management, and contract software.
• Ability to mentor and delegate to a large team while maintaining strong client relationships.
