We are hiring a Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A for a 16-month contract based in downtown Toronto, with a hybrid schedule of 2–3 days per week in office. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys collaborating closely with senior leaders, shaping business decisions through insightful analysis, and contributing in a visible, high-impact role.
You will take ownership of monthly reporting and board materials, support forecasting, and modeling, and deliver clear, meaningful insights that help guide key business decisions.
Working with a high degree of independence, you will maintain and enhance core reports and executive presentations while providing trusted FP&A support during a maternity leave coverage period.
What You’ll Do:
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and operational reports, including variance analysis against budget and forecast.
• Lead the monthly forecasting process and maintain consolidated forecasts, budgets, and financial models.
• Build and enhance models to support planning, scenario analysis, investment evaluation, and growth initiatives.
• Analyze results, KPIs, and trends, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
What You’ll Bring:
• Experience in a Senior Financial Analyst or similar FP&A role, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and model maintenance.
• Strong PowerPoint skills and experience preparing board or executive-level presentations.
• Strength in forecasting, financial modeling, analysis, and problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work on deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
• Experience in a contract or interim finance role providing reporting continuity.
• FP&A experience in medium to large organizations or complex business environments.
• Familiarity with reporting or BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience supporting or presenting to boards, executives, or senior leadership teams.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or Accounting; CPA is a strong asset.
• 5+ years of progressive FP&A experience with advanced Excel, financial modeling, and proficiency in PowerPoint and Word; ThinkCell is an asset.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
