About this role

Rate Range: $55-$60/Hr Job Description: • We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Data Analyst to support enterprise data and reporting initiatives. • The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, BI teams, data engineers, architects, and governance teams to gather requirements, analyse data flows, and ensure successful delivery of reporting and analytics solutions across multiple business domains. Key Responsibilities: • Gather, analyse, and document business, data, and reporting requirements from stakeholders. • Collaborate with BI teams, Operations Leaders, Data Engineers, Architects, and Governance teams to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements. • Analyse source systems, business processes, and data flows across domains such as Policy, Claims, Finance, and other business functions. • Define business rules, data mappings, KPI definitions, and data quality requirements. • Support data governance initiatives including metadata management, business glossary creation, and data lineage validation. • Assist in reconciliation testing, UAT validation, stakeholder workshops, and preparation of functional and technical documentation. • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of reporting and analytical outputs. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to data quality, reporting, and governance processes. Required Skills • Strong experience in Business Analysis and Data Analysis. • Ability to gather and document business, reporting, and data requirements effectively. • Good understanding of data mapping, data modelling concepts, and data quality validation. • Experience working with BI/reporting platforms and enterprise data environments. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and governance teams. • Knowledge of UAT support, reconciliation testing, and functional documentation. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis techniques. Preferred Skills: • Experience in Insurance domain, especially Policy, Claims, or Billing data. • Exposure to data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data lineage tools. • Familiarity with cloud data platforms and modern data warehousing solutions. • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms. • Understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies. • Knowledge of KPI framework design and enterprise reporting standards.
