Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Scientist with a focus on Predictive Modeling to join their dynamic, remote-first data science team. This role is critical for developing sophisticated predictive models that drive strategic business decisions and enhance customer experiences. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of model development, from data exploration and feature engineering to model training, validation, and deployment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and experience with large, complex datasets. Key responsibilities include identifying business challenges that can be addressed with data science, collaborating with stakeholders to define project requirements, and communicating complex findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences. Expertise in programming languages such as Python or R, and proficiency with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn), are essential. Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable. A PhD or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Economics, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience in predictive modeling and data science, is required. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are paramount. The ability to work autonomously and effectively in a remote team environment is crucial for success.
